Today we're leaving for Panama. We're picking up our friend Steven Friese in Ponce, Puerto Rico and he's joining us for the leg to the San Blas islands. The trip is about 900 nautical miles and will take us 7-8 days, depending on conditions, which currently look ideal. We met Steven in 2009 in Nepal and are psyched that he's up for an adventure with us! We'll post position reports along the way, and are looking forward to the seeing some of the 300+ islands that make up the Panamanian archipelago.
Nice to see smiles on your faces! Sounds like you are still having a grand adventure! It's time to make a reservation for dinner tomorrow night, Paul's birthday!

Now, two important things more concisely: 1) thinking of you endlessly, particularly at Banff film festival that had clip on 2 dudes rowing the Indian Ocean. HOpe you make a little film too. 2) you look like each other in the photo above. Hard to believe you two could become more united but looks like you are!! 3) extra thing: googled the SanBlas Islands and I can hardly wait to see Lexi decorated in beaded bracelets from the Natives!!! Missing you tons!!!
