Wednesday April 8th

No fish today either. Two hits but no fish landed. We're averaging 7 knots which may be a bit fast for fishing.
No squalls. Partly to mostly cloudy. Wind 15-18 knots.
We're one third of the way to Marquesas. Our daily average is up to 140nm, so it's looking like our passage will be 21 days.
One of the boats that we met in Galapagos is 59' long and has already sailed out of radio range on 4 MHz. They cover about 200 miles a day.
There is a Catalina 47' that is catching up to us that we may see before the sun goes down.
We haven't see another boat at all so far on this leg.
As of 4:30 local time, 23:30 UTC
S 6*42'
W 106*48.5'
Speed 6.3 knots
Course 252*

  1. Sounds like everything is going according to your very well thought out plan. Congrats! That has to be a satisfying feeling. All is well in Bozo. Megan and Tasha and I enjoyed a kickass mini vacation to Sonoma, hammering out Kings Ridge, Coleman Valley and Geysers over a long weekend.

  2. Hey guys, sounds like everything is going according to your well-thought-out plan. That has to feel pretty satisfying! Things are fine in bozo. Megan, Tasha and I just got back from a sweet weekend in Sonoma; managed to crank out Kings Ridge, Coleman Valley and Geysers in three days with plenty of bakery stops. We will be thinking about you guys for the rest of the crossing. May the winds be perfect and just the right sized fish take the bait!
